Good:

System itself is much more stable though some apps, abiword in particular tend to crash for no apparent reason.

Weather graphs are very cool (these are generated on the gateway box that interfaces w/ our weather station)

For Hugh: I don't have to deal with a Windows system that I am no longer current on.  Can remote administer/update box to a large extent.  Didn't have to shell out a zillion bucks for Redmonds, err, finest.
